A Workshop on “Constitutional & Legal Rights of Women“ was organized at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur on 14th December 2018 by the Women’s Cell of the Institute


As per the directives of National Commission for Women , a Workshop on “Constitutional & Legal Rights of Women“ was organized at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur on 14th December 2018 by the Women’s Cell of the Institute. 139 Research Scholars and PG students of the Institute participated in the programme.

            Dr. Dr. P.M. Padole, Director, VNIT Inaugurated the programme and welcomed the expert speaker Advocate Padma Chandekar of High Court, Nagpur. Dr. Anupama Kumar, chairperson, women’s cell, welcomed Dr. Dr. P.M. Padole and also briefed about the workshop.

After the talk, all the participants took up an objective test with the multiple choice questions related to the legal rights of women. Ms. Nayana Soni won first Prize and Ms. Rukhsana Bhadar won second prize. Five third prizes were given to Ms. Shruthi Dakey, Mr. Pranay Barkataki, Mr. Aditya Bhalerao, Ms. Karishma Punwatkar and Mr. Raghvendra Naik.

            The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Nita Patne. Mrs. Deepali Deshpande successfully conducted the proceedings of the programme.  Dr. Rajashri Satputle, Dr. Shital Chiddarwar, Mrs. Vijaya Deshmukh, Mrs. Jaya Adane & Mrs. Pranoti Supare helped to make the event successful.
