PhD scholar Vishal Chettry and Dr. Meenal Surawar presented a research paper titled “Land cover Change Detection and Urban Sprawl Assessment of Raipur Urban Agglomeration” at International Conference on Recent Issues in Civil Engineering and its Sustainable Solutions (RICESS-2019) organized by Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur (27-28/12/2019).
PhD scholar Pavan Teja, M.Tech scholar Jenil John and Dr. Pankaj Bahadure presented paper entitled “Assessing spatial accessibility to amenities, facilities and services from public transit using non-motorized transport: a case of Nagpur city” at 5th Conference of Transportation Research Group of India held at Bhopal, India (18-21/12/2019).
PhD scholar Vishal Chettry and Dr. Meenal Surawar presented a research paper titled “Investigation of Urban Sprawl Dynamics in Peri-Urban Areas: A Case Study of Trivandrum Urban Agglomeration” at 3rd Asian Regional Conference on Peri-Urbanization organized jointly by SPA Bhopal, College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University(China) and Pusan National University (South Korea) at SPA Bhopal (17-20/12/2019).
Dr. Sarika Bahadure won Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Singles matches of Table Tennis respectively at Inter- NIT National Faculty Sports Championship held from at MNIT Jaipur (16-20/12/2019).
Dr. V. S. Adane and team won Chess Gold Medal at Inter- NIT National Faculty Sports Championship held from at MNIT Jaipur (16-20/12/2019).
Dr. Sameer Deshkar and Dr. Amit Deshmukh attended the “Urban Thinkers Campus” organized by UN-HABITAT, National University of Malaysia, IGES, Japan and RIKA India, held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (07-09/12/2019).
Students of B.Arch participated in the “Departmental Gathering (DG)”, and Ar. Ashok Mokha, Chairman, IGBC – Vidarbha Chapter inaugurated the event. Being the alumnus of VNIT (then VRCE) and Gold Medalist, he shared his experience and motivated students to be updated in the multiple aspects (29-31/11/2019).
