Brief Bio
Dr. Abhishek Banerjee completed his undergraduate studies in the year 2004 from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata under Kolkata University, where he was placed first in class. Subsequently, he moved to the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for his postgraduate studies. He obtained his MS in Chemistry from IISc in the year 2007. Dr. Banerjee pursued his Ph.D. studies from Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany under the supervision of Prof. Ulrich Kortz and Prof. Gerd Volder Röschenthaler, and received his Ph.D. degree with 'Special Distinction' in the year 2012. Subsequently he joined the research group of Prof. Mercouri Kanatzidis, at Northwestern University, Evanston, USA, as a postdoctoral researcher. Dr. Banerjee joined VNIT Nagpur as faculty in the Department of Chemistry in 2016.
