VNIT Nagpur has become the only NIT in India selected under Hyundai’s National Academic-Industrial Research Network for Battery Technology & Electrification through the Hyundai Center of Excellence (HCoE) initiative.
The Hyundai CoE network now includes leading institutes like IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Hyderabad, VNIT Nagpur & Tezpur University, driving advanced R&D in EV batteries, electrification, AI-powered Vehicle-to-Grid systems, energy storage and future mobility technologies for India.
The initiative will promote interdisciplinary research, global collaborations, industry-focused innovation, researcher exchange programs and technology development for sustainable electric mobility and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The MoU signing ceremony from VNIT Nagpur was attended by Prof. Y. B. Katpatal (Dean, Research & Consultancy), Dr. Manmohan Dass Goel (Associate Dean, Consultancy & Industry Interaction) and Dr. Pradyumn Chaturvedi (Institute Coordinator Hyundai CoE @ VNIT).
