M. Tech. (Structural Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering)

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. To impart concepts of structural engineering through the use of analytical techniques, experiments, computer simulation methods, and other modern engineering tools for analysis and design of variety of civil engineering structures and their components effectively.
  2. To disseminate the recent developments in earthquake engineering field by educating the students using the updated code provisions.
  3. To inculcate habit of critical thinking in analysing the complex problems for earthquake loading in structural engineering fields.
  4. To develop skills for communicating the structural designs effectively in written, graphical and oral form.
  5. To build Student’s capacity in upcoming areas of research in earthquake engineering.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

PO1: An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve/address practical problems
PO2: An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document
PO3: Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. The mastery should be at a l         level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program
PO4: Student should be able to understand the state of art need, professional, ethical practices, services to the society and socio economic relevance           while executing the civil engineering project
