Dr. Ashish S. Chaurasia is Professor in Chemical Engineering Department at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur. He was Head of Chemical Engineering Department at VNIT from May 2016 to April 2018. He was Chairman of Publication committee of Institute Magazine \u2018Rajbhasha Prerna Patrika\u2019, in 2015, 2016, 2017. He was Centre In-charge of UG Admission Committee, CSAB in 2022. He worked as Associate Dean, Student Activities and Sports at VNIT from January 2021 to January 2024. Currently he is holding additional responsibility as In-charge \u2013 Campus Up-keeping at VNIT from February 2024. Prior to joining VNIT in 2012 as Associate Professor, he worked for Jaypee University of Engineering and Technology, Guna, Madhya Pradesh (2009-2012), Maharashtra Academy of Engineering, Pune, Maharashtra (2005-2006), Jawaharlal Darda Institute Engineering and Technology, Yavatmal, Maharashtra (2004-2005) and Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Rajasthan (2001-2004). He has completed his B. Tech. degree from Shri Shivaji Education Society\u2019s, College of Engineering and Technology, Akola, Maharashtra affiliated to Amravati University in 1999. He did his M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering and PhD from Birla Institute of Technology & Science in 2001 and 2004 respectively. He has been a postdoctoral fellow at National Chemical Laboratory-India (2005-2006) and postdoctoral research associate at Imperial College London, United Kingdom (2006-2008). His research interests focus on pyrolysis of biomass, biomass gasification, and modeling simulation of renewable-based processes. He has supervised three PhD and six M. Tech. students. He authored three books and has more than 90 publications in top quality international conference and journals. He has been invited speaker at many conferences in the areas of biomass gasification and energy. He has been referee and reviewer for a number of premier conferences and journals. Dr. Chaurasia is a Life Member of Indian Society for Technical Education, Associate Member of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and Life Member of American Chemical Society.<\/td> <\/tr>\n <\/tbody>\n <\/table>\n \n \n \n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
