| Dr. Madhuwanti Latkar is a Professor in Civil Engineering Department. She has Research experience in National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur. She is a doctorate in Environmental Biochemistry and is actively doing research in the domain of Biocementation. She has represented India as a delegate and a member of the International Thematic Group ‘Ecology and Climate Change’ in the Annual Conference of BRICS NU held at North China University of water Conservancy and Electric Power, Zhengzhou City, Hennan, China from 1st to 3rd July 2017. Her research team from the Department of Civil Engineering, VNIT, Nagpur has won the prestigious RISE award 2021 for best poster titled, ‘Biocementation studies on cement-mortar by using soil as a nutrient source for the bacteria’ in the category ‘Field and Laboratory Research’. The Leeds Sustainability Institute (Leeds Beckett University), Technological University Dublin, Suffolk Sustainability Institute, and the University of the West of England conduct The RISE awards every year, which were hosted by Leeds Beckett University this year. The RISE Awards intend to motivate researchers worldwide to display their new and innovative products, technologies, processes, projects and schemes. |
