| Dr. Abhay Gandhi did his BE (Electronic Engg.) in 1989 from VRCE, Nagpur and ME(ECE) from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1991.After working for 3 years in industry and education, he joined VRCE, Nagpur as a lecturer in July 1994. Now, he is a professor at VNIT since 2012.He visited San Francisco, USA in Oct 1995 to present a paper at an international conference ISSSE’95He has completed his PhD in August 2002. The areas of his teaching, research and consultancy are analog and digital communication, computer networks and RFIC design.Ten candidates have completed PhD and two candidates have completed MTech(by research) under his guidance. Currently, some candidates are pursuing PhD under his guidance.He has published more than 65 research papers, mostly in SCI/Scopus journals and international conferences. One of the research papers co-authored by him has received “Best paper award” at Global Wireless Summit (Wireless VITAE) held in June 2013 at Atlanta City, USA.He has authored a text book, “Analog and Digital Communications: Theory and Lab Work”, published by Cengage Learning, New Delhi.He is a senior member of IEEE and also member of IETE, and ISTE. He has been a member of Executive Committee (EXECOM) of IEEE Nagpur Subsection. He was the chair of Nagpur Sub Section for 2021 He has contributed to development of communication infrastructure of VNIT from 1999 till date. He worked in admission committee for VNIT in 2007 and 2008 as Deputy Chairman and was member of Central Counselling Board 2010 Technical committee of VNIT.He was Chairman, Education Technology and Library Services Committee for 2011 to 2013, Associate Dean (Exam.) from 2014-15, HoD ECE from 2015-17, Associate Dean (Library) 2018 to 2021, Dean (Academics) 2021-2024.He has been a member of several NBA committees as an Expert. |
