The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India has instituted Electronics and ICT Academies in the year 2015. In the second phase, the academy at PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur aims at scalable training programmes in niche areas of Electronics and ICT for the development of the required knowledge base, skills and tools to unleash the talent of the Indian population. The Academy is identified by the MeitY as a hub of activities for capacity building through training, internships, research, and consultancy programmes in fundamental and advanced topics in electronics, information and communication technologies, the Academy conducts customized academic programmes for students, corporate sectors and researchers.
Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, established in 1960 is one of the esteemed institutes among the thirty one National Institutes of Technology in India. It was named after Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya an eminent engineer, planner and statesman of the country. The Institute has highly qualified faculty in various departments. VNIT Offers B.Tech degrees in eight disciplines, a B.Arch and M. Tech degrees in twenty disciplines. The distance of campus from Nagpur Airport/Railway Station is approximately 6 kms.
The FDP aims to equip students, scholars, and professionals with foundational and advanced knowledge of Generative AI, XAI and their applications in medical imaging, focusing on transformer models, YOLO models and their integration with cutting-edge tools and techniques.
