VNIT Alumni Association’s dream project Akshay Patra inaugurated

VNIT alumni association (VNITAA) 1979 batch has sponsored the dining hall project worth Rs. 35 lakhs. Built in a space of 3000 square feet, the dining hall for the VNIT guest house has seating capacity for 150 to 200 guests. For lunch or supper, a large lawn next to the hall can additionally accommodate about 250 guests. The VNITAA is quite dynamic and is making significant contributions to the infrastructural development of their alma mater.

It was a dream project for the class of 1979 to build the dining hall ‘Akshay Patra’. Sixty former students and their spouses were in attendance for the ceremony. Dr. P.M. Padole, the Director of the institution, officially inaugurated the dining hall. Amir Vali and Shekhar Deshpande, Shri Zanjalare among those who have made contributions to this field. In addition to thisShri Shashikant Chaudhary, Shri Pramod Pampatwar, Joginder Singh Sond, and Vivek Deshpande werealso  present.

Accommodations for invited visitors, participants at conferences or seminars, and academics from various institutions are provided in the guest house on campus.
