Women Cell VNIT organized Motivational Session with Mrs. Nilambari Vijay Jagdale, (IPS), AIG State Cyber Crime and Director DITAC, Punjab Cadre on 10th August 2021 at 3.00PM on both online and offline mode. She is eminent alumni of VNIT. Prof. P. M. Padole, Director, VNIT and Dr. Abhay Gandhi, Dean Academics presided over the program. The program started with the welcome speech by Dr. Sangeeta Gadve, Chairperson Women’s cell VNIT, followed by the address by Chief guest Prof. P. M. Padole, Director VNIT. Director VNIT welcomed the Guest Speaker virtually. Mrs. Neeraja Taneja, an alumnus of VNIT at the remote location visited personally the Guest Speaker Ms. Nilambari Jagdale at her office in Chandigarh as a VNIT representative and welcomed her with a memento.
Dr. Meera Dhabu introduced the speaker Ms. Nilambari Jagdale to the audience. During the session Mrs Nilambari unfolded her journey on becoming successful IPS officer and life lessons learnt. She shared experience of working in border state like Punjab with some interesting cases. She also explained how it was difficult to excel in male-dominated profession and thereby balancing the work and family life. She narrated how she relates her current profession with engineering. Finally she opened her mantras for success by defining the word ’success’.
The session was very interesting and interactive. All participants were very enthusiastic throughout the talk and participated in interactive session actively. It was a great experience for all to hear a lady IPS officer who is also an eminent alumnus of VNIT.
Prof. J. D Ekhe, Dean (P & F), Prof. D. H Lataye, Dean (SW), Prof. M. A. Chaudhari, Dean (R & C), Associate Deans, Head of the department and many other faculty members attended the session at senate hall. The session concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Poonam Sharma. Mrs. Vijaya Deshmukh (Member Secretary) Women Cell, VNIT conducted the proceedings of the session.
