Important Instructions for the 23^rd Convocation Ceremony – 2025

Dear Degree Recipients,

Greetings from VNIT Nagpur!

We are excited to welcome you to campus for the upcoming 23^rd Convocation Ceremony 2025. We aim to make this event a memorable and seamless smooth experience for you. Please find attached detailed instructions to help ensure the day is a success.

Event Details: 23^rd Convocation 2025, VNIT Nagpur
Date: 15^th September 2025 ( Monday )
Time: 7:30 AM onwards
Venue: VNIT Auditorium

Kindly note the following important points (complete instructions attached):

1. Auditorium Entry: The gates will close strictly by 8:15 AM.
2. Dress Code for Degree Recipients :

• Boys: White Kurta and Pyjama
• Girls: White Kurta with Salwar or Saree

1. Confirmation of Registration

Please ensure that your registration is confirmed through the link.

2. Dress Code for Degree Recipients:

• Boys: White Kurta and Pyjama
• Girls: White Kurta with Salwar or Saree

3. Collection of Scarves

Scarves will be available in your respective departments on 14^th September 2025 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
No scarves will be distributed on the day of the convocation.

4. Parking Instructions

Parking near the auditorium will be restricted. Kindly cooperate with volunteers and security personnel to ensure smooth parking arrangements.

5. Seating & Timing

• Degree recipients must be seated before 8:15 AM.
• Late entries will NOT be permitted under any circumstances, including unforeseen travel delays.
• Once seated, recipients must remain seated until the ceremony concludes.

6. Auditorium Entry

         Enter through the main entrance near the old gym.

7. Mobile Phones & Cameras

• Mobile phones and cameras are not allowed inside the auditorium.
• Please arrange for safe storage beforehand.

8. Program Schedule on 15th Sept 2025 (Duration ~ 03 hours):

• Academic procession enters

      (Entry gates of the auditorium will be closed.)

• Report by Director, VNIT
• Convocation address by Chairman, BoG
• Convocation address by Chief Guest
• Award of degrees (Ph.D., PG, then UG)
• Award of medals and prizes
• Oath by all recipients, led by the Visvesvaraya Gold Medal recipient
• Vote of thanks
• National Anthem
• Academic procession exits

9. Post-Program Arrangements

• Snack boxes will be distributed to degree recipients after the ceremony upon presenting the food coupon.
• Venue details will be announced during the event.

10. Seating for Parents

       Parents are not permitted inside the auditorium during the ceremony. They may watch the live stream at designated seating areas .

11. Decorum

        Recipients must maintain the solemnity and dignity of the event by adhering to decorum, discipline, and dress code at all times.

13. Mandatory Rehearsal

        A rehearsal will be held on 14^th September 2025 at 3:30 PM in the auditorium. Attendance is strongly recommended to ensure smooth            proceedings.
