Preamble
India, as the world’s largest democracy and a rapidly developing nation, stands at a critical point where national security extends far beyond conventional military strength. It encompasses a broader spectrum that includes internal stability, cyber defense, environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and social cohesion. At the heart of this comprehensive national security framework lies a vital force—the youth.
With more than half of its population under the age of 30, India possesses a demographic advantage that can significantly influence the country’s strategic direction. The youth, empowered by education, technology, and innovation, have the potential to contribute to the nation’s safety and progress through multiple avenues.
From joining the defense and law enforcement services, to contributing to cybersecurity, community development, and economic security—through entrepreneurship, responsible consumption, and ethical innovation—young citizens play a pivotal role in safeguarding national interests. Economic security, in particular, requires youth to lead in job creation, industrial innovation, digital economy development, and ensuring financial inclusivity, all of which strengthen the nation’s self-reliance and resilience against global disruptions.
This conference aims to foster awareness, dialogue, and strategic thinking among the youth, encouraging them to become active custodians of national integrity. It seeks to inspire a sense of responsibility, vigilance, and service, while nurturing a spirit of innovation and patriotism that aligns with the vision of a strong, secure, and self-reliant India.
