C. Bose Hostel, a residence dedicated to the spirit of discovery, innovation, and unwavering curiosity. The hostel is named in honour of Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose (30 November 1858 \u2013 23 November 1937), a pioneering Indian scientist, physicist, biologist, and inventor whose groundbreaking work laid the foundations of wireless communication and plant physiology. <br \/>His pioneering experiments in radio waves and the sensitivity of plants to stimuli showcased not only his scientific brilliance but also his profound respect for nature. Bose believed that science was not merely about machines and measurements, but about understanding life itself. His dedication, originality, and integrity embody the ideals that J. C. Bose Hostel seeks to uphold the curiosity, creativity, and compassion.<br \/>Currently the hostel offers accommodation for undergraduate first year students, designed to provide a comfortable and intellectually stimulating living environment. The hostel accommodates triple-seater rooms, currently accommodating nearly 406 students. The hostel layout is thoughtfully organized with the Ground Floor houses 51 rooms (including Warden office, Supervisor office, 1 Computer room). The first floor, second floor and third floor include 54, 54 and 15 rooms respectively providing comfortable and well-ventilated living spaces for residents. Apart from residential rooms, hostel is equipped with 4 study rooms, 1 recreational hall for indoor games like table tennis, carrom, chess etc, 1 T.V. room equipped with 54-inch LED TV and a big courtyard for outdoor games such as Volleyball, Badminton Courts. Each floor is equipped with water coolers to provide clean and cool drinking water throughout the day. Separate washrooms and bathrooms are available on every floor, maintained regularly to ensure hygiene and convenience.<br \/>To support modern living, the hostel features app-controlled IoT based 10kg front load to operate via a mobile app. washing machines (3) at Ground Floor, enabling students to manage laundry conveniently. A night canteen within the premises offers refreshments and meals for students engaged in late-night study or discussions, fostering both comfort and community spirit.<br \/>In every sense, the J. C. Bose Hostel stands as more than a residence: it is a living tribute to a visionary who proved that science and imagination know no boundaries. Here, every corner echoes Sir J. C.
