Research Thrust Areas
Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur has identified key research thrust areas to support its institutional mandate and national priorities. These areas reflect emerging trends, funding agency focus, and departmental expertise. While these thrust areas provide structured direction, they do not limit or restrict the pursuit of research beyond the identified domains.
Two documents guide this framework:
Department-wise Research Thrust Areas (2024–2027)
A compilation of research focus areas defined by individual departments and centres, aligned with sectoral demands and academic strengths.
Institute-level priority domains identified by the ICSR Board for strategic funding, collaborative proposals, and infrastructure planning.
These thrust areas serve as a reference framework for proposal development, research planning, and collaborative engagements across disciplines
