Indian Science, Technology and Engineering Facilities Map (I-STEM)<\/strong><\/p>

I-STEM @ VNIT Nagpur<\/strong><\/p>

I-STEM is a national initiative of the Government of India designed to map, share, and optimize the use of publicly funded R&D facilities across the country. The portal enables researchers from academia and industry to locate, book, and utilize advanced scientific equipment based on availability and proximity.<\/p>

At VNIT Nagpur, all facility bookings internal or external: are processed exclusively through the I-STEM portal, ensuring transparency, accessibility, and efficient utilization of resources.<\/p>

Booking Procedure through I-STEM Facility:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

  1. Please visit https:\/\/www.istem.gov.in\/<\/a> and Register<\/strong> as Researcher\/User Registration category (if not already done) to create your user profile by providing the required details.<\/li>
  2. After receiving the user id and password via<\/em> email, Login<\/strong> to the website and search for the equipment\u2019s full\/abbreviation name and select the city as Nagpur or Advanced search option. It can also be directly accessed for booking facilities using the URL given in the Department-wise listed below table<\/strong>.<\/li>
  3. Select the user category<\/strong>, type of sample analysis, and proceed with equipment reservation.<\/li>
  4. After a slot is allocated, the user will receive a FBR number<\/strong> which can be provided along with the Requisition Form, receipt of Payment<\/strong> (VNIT Online Payment Portal) and samples for data collection.<\/li>
  5. After booking the facility kindly send the duly filled Requisition Form along with the samples and payment receipt to – Department\/facility name:<\/em>__________ <\/em>(office), Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), South Ambazari Road, Nagpur, Maharashtra \u2013 440010, India<\/em>.<\/li>
  6. It is also requested to contact the concerned department Coordinator\/faculty-incharge for guidance and support regarding utilizing the mentioned facilities or any payment related queries.<\/li><\/ol>
