Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, signed a pioneering tri-party Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Taiwan University of Science & Technology (NTUST), Taipei, and Delta Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. This marks India’s first international tri-party MoU focused on an industry-sponsored student internship program.

Objectives: Facilitate student internships/projects, student/faculty exchanges, joint research, and knowledge sharing.
Program Highlights:
Selected M.Tech (Power Electronics & Drives) students from VNIT will undertake a one-year internship/project in their second year at NTUST and Delta Electronics in Taiwan, supported by Delta Electronics India.
The MoU stems from a successful India-Taiwan joint research project on Power Electronic Transformers led by Dr. Pradyumn Chaturvedi, the MoU coordinator.

Significance:
Dr. Prem Lal Patel highlighted the MoU’s unique industry-academia collaboration, offering students exposure to cutting-edge technologies in power electronics through NTUST and Delta Electronics.
VNIT’s Power Electronics Research Laboratory (PERL) has developed advanced technologies like Power Electronic Transformers for EV charging and microgrid applications, strengthening industry ties.
This collaboration enhances opportunities for students and fosters innovation in power electronics through global partnerships.
