Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur successfully hosted the Maharashtra Gyan Sabha (4–5 April 2026), centered on “Education for Viksit Maharashtra” in alignment with NEP 2020. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra and brought together distinguished leaders from academia. Jointly organized by VNIT Nagpur, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Gondwana University Gadchiroli, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur, and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, New Delhi, the Sabha fostered meaningful dialogue on the future of education and nation-building.

The discussions reinforced the role of education as a foundation for a Viksit Maharashtra and Viksit Bharat.
 
The second day featured a series of engaging parallel sessions and expert deliberations focusing on key themes such as institutional best practices, skill development, inclusive education, rural industrialization, Indian Knowledge Systems, and internationalization of higher education .
 
The Gyan Sabha culminated with a valedictory session outlining a roadmap for effective implementation of NEP 2020. The deliberations reaffirmed the collective commitment towards building a Viksit Maharashtra and Viksit Bharat through transformative education.
