Thrilled to share that, VNIT Nagpur strengthens industry-academia ties with the inauguration of a dedicated Clutch Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (March 11, 2026). Inaugurated by Shri Harish Sheth, CMD, Setco Auto Systems, and Prof. Prem Lal Patel, Director, VNIT – showcasing a powerful partnership with one of India’s leading automotive component manufacturers.
The lab equips students and researchers with practical, hands-on experience in clutch assembly and transmission mechanics – a major step forward in automotive research & skill development. Grateful for the presence of institute leaders including Dr. Y.B. Katpatal (Dean R&C), Dr. V.R. Kalamkar (Dean Acad), Dr. A.B.
