M.Sc. Program
The Department of Mathematics offers the following postgraduate program:
- M.Sc. (Mathematics),
- Intake: 25
- Admission through CCMN based on IIT-JAM scores.
The M.Sc. (Mathematics) is a two-year course-oriented post-graduate program in which a student has to take a set of core, elective, and project courses. The course work is spread across the first three semesters with an option of taking electives in the fourth semester. This is followed by a project in the third and fourth semester in which the student can take up a project of his or her interest, supervised by a faculty member of the department.
Department of Mathematics also offers various courses for Engineering & Architecture postgraduate Students. The courses include a set of core courses offered by the Engineering departments, a set of departmental electives, and some open courses.
