Brief Bio
Dr. Amit. H. Padade is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, VNIT Nagpur India, An institute of National Importance under the aegis of Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. He was born in Oct. 1985 at Nagpur and completed his schooling and HSC from therein. He graduated in Civil Engineering in 2007 from R. T. M. Nagpur University. He had his higher education in NIT Warangal (M.Tech, 2010) and IIT Bombay (Ph.D, 2014). He is privileged to have 4 years long close association with a world renowned geosynthetic person and his guide Prof. J. N. Mandal of IIT Bombay during his study period thereat.Dr. Amit did noteworthy original research in EPS geofoam, soft clay ground improvement using cemented stone column, lightweight geomaterial and geotechnical aspects related to foundations. His doctoral research work on EPS geofoam was highly acclaimed by an eminent, world renowned professor of University of Oklahoma, USA Dr. Musharraf Zaman. Dr. Zaman, as a reviewer of Ph.D thesis, vividly remarked, “The thesis is well written in an overall sense. The quality and quantity of the work done is substantial by any measures”Dr. Amit as an author has published 28 original research papers in prestigious conferences and journals. 6 of these were presented and discussed in first grade prestigious international conferences abroad viz. Australia, USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, Thailand etc.Dr. Amit is a life member of Indian Geotechnical and Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (I). He is also reviewer of International Journal of Geomechanics ASCE, and invited reviewer of many reputed journals like Geosynthetics International, IGS London, Journal of Harazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste, ASCE, Korian Society of Civil ENgineering etc.
