The Civil Engineering Department is the oldest department in this institute right from the establishment of Government College of Engineering in Nagpur 1956. The department strives to develop students into capable civil engineering graduates by imparting appropriate high-quality education in Civil Engineering so that they could be readily adapted by the service sector to meet the challenges faced by the Nation. The program strives for excellence in engineering education and is actively involved in research and consultancy. The faculty of the department are engaged in state-of-the art research and provide technical support through various R&D projects and consultancy to various organizations.
