| Dr. Dilip Hiradram Lataye is Professor in Civil Engineering and recently working as Head, Department of Civil Engineering since January 2024. Completed B.E. (Civil Engineering) from VNIT (the then VRCE, Nagpur) Nagpur in the year 1996, M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering in 1998 and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from IIT Roorkee in the year 2007. Joined the institute as a Lectuirer in Civil Engineering in August 1998. Became Associate Professor in December 2014 and Professor since March 2018. Handled various administrative responsibilities viz. Warden VNIT hostel for about 6 years, Chief Warden for about 2 years, Associate Dean (Hostel affairs) for about 5 years, Associate Dean (Procurements & Stores) for about 6 months and Dean (Students Welfare) for 3 years (2021 – 2024).Supervised 8 Ph.D. Scholars and guided several M.Tech. (Environmental Engineering) and B.Tech. (Civil Engineering) students. Completed one R&D Project funded by DST and handling (ongoing) 5 Projects sponsored by Maharashtra Pollution control Board (MPCB), Mumbai. Has completed various consultancy projects like, Vetting of Design of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, Adequacy of Air Pollution Control (APC) systems, Efficiency of APC systems, Stack Monitoring and Ambient air Quality Monitoring for Government (WCL) and other Industries. Member of various Societies like, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Indian Water Works Association (IWWA),Institution of Public Health Engineering (IPHE) and Institution of Engineers (India). |
