Brief Bio
Dr. Jawaharlal Bhukya has obtained his doctoral degree (Ph. D.) from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat in 2020. He has done master degree (M. Tech.) from IIT Roorkee in 2012. He holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Osmania University (OU) in 2010. Currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering Department, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology-Nagpur. Earlier to this he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT) affiliated to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) at Udupi and Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Government Engineering College – Raipur. Bhukya published about 20 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. He has served as a reviewer for journals: International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics, IEEE Access and International Journal of Power and Energy Systems etc. He has completed two research projects as Principal Investigator and Co-Principal Investigator and sponsored by TEQIP Collaborative Research Scheme under AICTE. In addition, he has organised 06 training programs as a coordinator at GEC-Raipur. He has guided many B. Tech. Projects. His research areas are power system stability and the integration of wind energy, optimisation, FACTS and artificial intelligence, and electric vehicles. He is an active member of the Institution of Engineers India (IEI) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) organizations.
