Brief Bio
P.S. Kulkarni (MIEEE, LMISTE) graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli, Maharashtra in 1987. He received
M.E. degree in Electrical Power System from Government College of Engineering, Amravati in 1994 and Ph.D. from Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur in 2002.
He has been actively involved in Teaching and Research in VNIT for the last 29 years and he is currently working as Professor with the Department of Electrical Engg, VNIT, Nagpur. He has to his credit a few Best Paper Awards in various Conferences organized at Institution of Engineers (India), Nagpur, at IIT Kharagpur, at IIT Guwahati and Best Guided M.Tech. Thesis award from ISTE, New Delhi. He has guided 4 Ph.D. Scholars and three are currently doing research. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence applications in Power System Operation and Control, Solar Photovoltaic based power generation, etc.
He was topper among male candidates in Yog Pravesh Exam conducted by Janardan Swami Yogabhyasi Mandal, Nagpur. He is Member of IEEE, USA , Institution of Engineers(India), Kolkata and Life Member of ISTE, New Delhi.
