Brief Bio
Ritesh Kumar Keshri (M’08–SM’15), received B.Sc (Engg.) and M.Tech from National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, India, in 2003 and 2007 respectively both in electrical engineering and PhD in Energy Engineering from Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Padova, Italy in March 2014. Since August 2015 he is with Department of Electrical Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur. At present Dr. Keshri is an Associate Professor. From 2006 to August 2015 he was with Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, BIT Mesra, India as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Keshri received silver medal for being first in M. Tech (electrical) in 2007, Young researcher fellowship from Ministry of University of Italy in 2008, Erasmus Mundus Fellowship for 34 months, from European Union in 2010, first prize as a student team leader of the University of Padova in class-3 of Formula Electric and Hybrid in 2011, 2016 Best paper award of IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics, and Visvesvaraya Young Faculty Research Fellowship for five years in 2017. His research interests include power electronics and electric drives for electric vehicle propulsion and charging infrastructure.Dr. Keshri has successfully executed project on Wireless Charging, Temperature Regulated Fast Charging Strategy for VRLA battery, Development of PM BLDC Motor Drive and Design of 1kW Synchronous reluctance Motor for Light Electric Vehicles with the Research Grant and Projects from DST and MEITY Government of India. Dr. Keshri is associated with IEEE -IES and –PELS, and contributed as chairs for technical track and special sessions in IECON 2013-19. Dr. Keshri has contributed to technical committee on Transportation Electrification of Industrial Electronics Society (TCTE) IEEE as Conference Activity chair (2017-18), Secretary (2018-19), Vice-Chair (2019-20) and Chair (2020-21) of TCTE.
