Brief Bio
Dr. Soumyabrata Das obtained his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Agartala, in 2010. He received his Master’s degree with a specialization in Power and Energy System Engineering and completed his Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology, Silchar, in 2012 and 2020, respectively. He joined Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, as an Assistant Professor in June 2022. Before joining Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, he served as an ad-hoc faculty member at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, from November 2020 to June 2022. Dr. Das is a senior member of IEEE and serves as a continuous reviewer for many IEEE Transactions, IET, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis, and other journals. His current research focuses on Electric Vehicle Charging Station and Congestion Management, Active Distributed System and Smart Grid, Power System Operation and Control, and the Application of Optimization Techniques in Power Systems.
