Compulsory Audit course
Physical Education is a compulsory audit course for B.Tech./ B. Arch first year students at the institute. Students are made aware about physical, social, physiological & psychological benefits of physical activities by providing them variety of physical education & sports related program round the year.
Awareness is created among the students about their health status, by conducting various physical fitness tests and further suitable remedial physical fitness program is suggested to them accordingly.

Objective:
- To provide information about physical, Physiological & Psychological aspects of sports & physical.
- To create awareness among the students about their health status, by conducting various physical fitness tests and suggest them suitable remedial physical fitness programme.
- To provide information of different therapeutic exercises.
- To make students aware about the rules and regulation of different games & sports.
- To provide opportunity to mingle with each other through participating in different physical education & sports activities.

Objective:
- To make the learner enable to know the conditions of stress and its management technique.
- To deliver the knowledge of daily calorie requirement and obesity.
- To provide information of different training principles for practicing different sports & games.
- To motivate the students to innovate new technologies in the field of physical education & sports.

Intramural & Celebration of National Sports Day:
The sports section every year on 29th of August celebrates the birth anniversary of the great Hockey legend Major Dhyanchand. The annual intramural program is also inaugurated on this auspicious day which goes round the year. Intersection matches for B.Tech. / B.Arch students are conducted in almost 12 major sports.
Physical Efficiency Test
The Physical Efficiency of every first year B. Tech. / B. Arch. student is measured by applying suitable tests of Physical Fitness Components such as abdominal strength, respiratory endurance, flexibility of hip joint & hamstring muscles and speed.

Medical examination
This examination is done by the Medical Officer of the institute and his team with the coordination of Physical Education section. This particular examination provides the data of students with postural deformities, obesity, underweight, stress, hypertension and some other medical problems. Thus with readily available data such students are provided individualized suitable physical fitness program.
