PCEMS 2024 will host a Ph.D. Colloquium to provide a platform for PhD scholars who have recently pursued cutting-edge research work, in the thematic area of PCEMS (Communications, Signal & Image Processing, Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning). All shortlisted scholars will get an opportunity to present their work to the PCEMS attendees, industry partners, and sponsors.

This scheme is open for Ph.D. Scholars of Institutes of National importance like IITs, NITs, IIITs, and any other Research Institute, AICTE/UGC Affiliated Institutes/Universities.

Final selection will be done based on the technical relevance of the PhD problem to the conference theme, the quality of the working model proposed, and the presentation in front of an expert panel.

Eligibility

Students who have defended their Ph.D. thesis between July 2022 and June 2024 or are expecting to submit their thesis in the next 12 months i.e., by December 31, 2024, can participate. Please consult with your advisors.

Submissions

Students are requested to submit at most a 5-minute long video on their best work and a research plan in the prescribed template within 2-3 pages of the extended abstract along with copies of relevant publications to pcems@vnit.ac.in on or before August 15, 2024 (with email subject as PCEMS 2024 PhD Colloquium Submission). The video and abstract will be used for shortlisting.

Shortlisted Ph.D. students will be invited to give a full-length (15 minutes in total: 12 minutes talk + 3 minutes for Q&A) presentation in PCEMS 2024, and the best presentation(s) will receive the PhD Colloquium Award(s).
