Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, welcomed the newly admitted 1st Year B.Tech. and B.Arch. students of the 2026 batch with an Orientation Programme held on 19 August 2026 at the Institute Auditorium, marking the beginning of the five-day Induction Programme (19–23 August 2026).
The programme featured inspiring addresses by Director Prof. Prem Lal Patel, Dean (Academics) Prof. V. R. Kalamkar, Dean (Students Welfare) Prof. U. A. Deshpande, and Chief Guest Shri Abhimanyu Raja P., Co-founder, Janyu Technologies, who encouraged students to embrace curiosity, innovation and continuous learning.
Students and parents were introduced to academics, student welfare, training & placement, health and well-being, alumni engagement and the Student Mentor Programme. Department visits and a Parents’ Interactive Session further strengthened engagement with the VNIT community.
The Orientation Programme set an inspiring tone for the students’ journey towards knowledge, excellence, innovation and holistic growth at VNIT. 🌱🎓
