Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur, held a press conference today, 28 October 2026, to announce the 5th International Conference on Paradigm Shifts in Communication, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, and Signal Processing (PCEMS 2026), scheduled for 30–31 October 2026.
Organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, the conference received 270 research paper submissions, with 106 papers selected after a rigorous peer-review process involving over 300 expert reviewers.
The inaugural ceremony will feature Dr. Arvind Choubey, Director, NIT Durgapur, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Bidhan Chandra Bag, Scientist G and Station Head, DRDO Nagpur, as Guest of Honour. Dr. Jasjit S. Suri will be the Chief Guest at the valedictory function.
The conference is organized under the patronage of Prof. Prem Lal Patel, Director, VNIT Nagpur. Dr. Joydeep Sengupta and Dr. Neeraj Rao are the Conference Chairs, while Dr. Ashwin Kothari, Prof. Kishor Bhurchandi, Dr. Vishal Satpute, and Dr. Ravibabu Mulaveesala are the General Chairs.
PCEMS 2026 will feature research presentations, tutorials, a Ph.D. colloquium, exhibitions, and special sessions on AI, IoT, sustainable systems, and 5G/6G technologies, fostering research excellence and academic–industry collaboration.
