About Workshop

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) are set to revolutionize 6G wireless communication by intelligently shaping the propagation environment for unprecedented spectral and energy efficiency. This workshop will explore cutting-edge RIS innovations, including graphene-based surfaces for THz communication, cell-free massive MIMO, integrated sensing and communications (ISAC), next- generation multiple access techniques such as rate-splitting multiple access (RSMA) for enhanced connectivity, and full-duplex RIS-aided networks for seamless data transmission. With a focus on practical implementations, energy-efficient designs, and real-world applications in smart cities, defense, and ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC), this event brings together experts to define the roadmap for RIS in next-generation networks. Join us to be at the forefront of 6G evolution!

About Department

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering offers B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, MTech. in Communication System Engineering, and Ph.D. in all relevant areas. The department has well-qualified and well-motivated faculty members and support staff. There are more than 30 full-time Ph.D. students enrolled in the different areas of signal and image processing, medical image analysis, embedded system design, communication systems, etc. Department is hosting 5G Use case lab and a center for EMI-EMC testing. The department is actively involved in R&D as well as consultancy projects and has collaborations with several industries, academic institutions, and R&D organizations in the country and outside.
