As part of the Swachhata Hi Sewa (SHS) Campaign 2026, and in accordance with the Ministry of Education, Government of India, VNIT Nagpur organised the SafaiMitra Suraksha Evam Samman Shivir from 28–30 September 2026.
🧑🔧 ~70 sanitation personnel participated in the three-day Shivir, focused on their health, safety, hygiene and well-being.
🩺 Dr. Pankaj S. Dhule, Medical Officer, VNIT, and his team provided guidance on health and fitness, hygiene practices, and workplace safety, with particular emphasis on the occupational risks faced by Safai Mitras.
🤝 The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty, staff and sanitation personnel, with the support of Executive Engineer Shri K. G. Barapatre and his team.
